Gwyn Ap Nudd Wild God of Faery, Guardian of Annwfn by Danu Forest I have recently finished reading this fascinating book. It is informative, well researched and beautifully written. A must for anyone interested in this Faery King and God of the Brythonic underworld Annwfn. It takes us across unchartered lands and wild welsh countryside, leads us though beautiful meditations, and touches the heart with tales deep rooted in Natural wild magic, helping us to glimpse at what lies beyond the mists of space and time. There is so much to take in throughout this book I know I will be returning to re read it. There is something very calming about November, perhaps it is watching the last of the leaves fall to the ground and seeing majestic trees stripped to their simplest of forms, ready to slumber through the winter. The last month of Autumn before Winter embraces us. The temperatures are starting to fall, the winds increase and the land shuts down in readiness for a colder spell. Their is something rather beautiful when the weather is wild and we are able to embrace it and feel the rain beating down, or have the wind push at us, willing us to acknowledge its power. Yes it can sometimes be destructive but nature has always been this way and in her natural balance she is also the most creative too..
The clocks have gone back, encouraging warm nights beside the fire, curtains drawn, a time of peace. Our bodies naturally want to slow down as the light fades so we have more time to sit and contemplate, spoil our selves with a good book or listen to those albums we promised ourselves to reconnect with.. Enjoy Brightest Blessings |
